LANTERN COMMUNITY SERVICES
Lantern Community Services (LCS), a not-for-profit social service corporation, is supportive services provider for the Lantern Organization. Today, LCS staffs provide programmatic services at 11 Lantern Group totaling more than 1,000 apartments. In total, more than 2,000 tenant family members and individuals receive services designed to live independently with or despite disability.
Services:
- Income subsidy applications and low-income subsidy re-certification
- Rent payment and rental arrears counseling and management
- Case management and entitlements/benefit counseling
- Case Management progress notes and medical referrals
- Substance abuse counseling and referrals services
- Mental health counseling and referral services
- Educational assessment, counseling and referral services
- Job counseling and referral services
- Social activities and social integration counseling
- Nutritional counseling and cooking classes
- Meal preparation (at Special Needs sites)
- Preparation of reports to federal, state, and city funding agencies
