Jasper Hall consists of 53 units of newly constructed permanent supportive housing in the Melrose Commons neighborhood of the Bronx. Of the 53 units, 22 studio apartments are reserved for young adults with special needs who have aged out of foster care, 30 two-bedroom apartments are set aside for families living with special needs. A unit reserved for the building's live-in superintendent, who is available 24/7 to respond emergencies.
Lantern Community Services delivers on-site supportive service programming to all Jasper Hall tenants. Program offices offer space for staff to conduct individual and group client meetings, life skills counseling, education and employment development, recreational activities for children and referral support. Staff and tenants work together to establish individual goal-centered service plans.
