Savanna Hall | Washington Heights, Manhattan


Savanna Hall located in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan is new construction of a seven-story residential building with community space for social services and recreation.  Savanna Hall will create 73 units of permanent rental housing comprised of 72 studios and 1 one-bedroom superintendent's apartment.  Seventy percent (50 studios) of the units are set aside for formerly homeless single adults, to the extent possible, residents of Community Board 12.  The remaining thirty percent of units (22 studios) will provide affordable housing to low-income single adults earning 60% of the HUD income limits.


Lantern Community Services will deliver on-site supportive service for all tenants.  The purpose of programming is to keep tenants stabilized through case management organized around social and economic stability, health and wellness management, and independent living.programming to all Savanna Hall tenants. Program offices offer space for staff to conduct individual and group meetings, life skills counseling, education and employment recommendations as well as referral support.

Supportive services at Savanna Hall will provide tenants with a variety of opportunities for personal growth. Partnerships have been developed to provide tenants with additional support. Savanna Hall offers on-site educational workshops with various service providers, annual health fairs, and on-site counseling and case management services by licensed social workers.
